In celebration of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Desert Tortoise Week, the Springs Preserve is partnering with the Clark County Desert Conservation Program for a week of activities and specialty programming centered around Nevada's state reptile, a.k.a. the iconic desert tortoise.
- Join the Springs Preserve education team for tortoise-themed Toddler Time stories, crafts and activities for kids ages 5 and under, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 2; Thursday, Oct. 5; and Friday, Oct. 6
- Drop-in to a demonstration lead by Springs Preserve zoologists
- Enjoy tortoise craft activities
