- Admission: Free for home school students and their chaperone. Limit one chaperone per student. Standard admission applies to additional guests.

Homeschool families can come enjoy a day of special programming with respective themes, free of charge. Participants must pre-register for each date.
Home School Days #1- Dinosaurs (Monday, Aug. 26, 2024, 12 to 4 p.m.)
- Self-guided Dinosaur Explorer Tour- Students will have access to explore the exhibit on own.
- Dino Footprints- students will learn the purposes of footprint shapes and match toy dinosaurs to their respective footprints.
- Who Was Alive During Dinos?- Students will sort animals as to whether they lived during the time of dinosaurs.
- Carnivore vs. Herbivore- Students will learn about dinosaur teeth and how to use jaws to determine of the dino was an carnivore or an herbivore.
- Dino Craft- Students will create a pet dino to take home.
Home School Days #2- Water Systems (Monday, Dec. 2, 2024, 12 to 4 p.m.)
- WaterWorks Tour- Students will participate in a guided tour of WaterWorks Exhibit on the half hour, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
- Water Shed- Students will learn that water flows from high to low elevations by creating a demo out of crinkled paper and spray bottles.
- Water Cycle- Students will learn about the water cycle while creating a bracelet.
- Conservation Bingo- Students will play a Bingo Game to learn strategies for conserving water.
- How Much Water? Match- Students will match items to the amount of water consumed to produce them.
Home School Days #3- History of Las Vegas (Monday, March 10, 2025, 12 to 4 p.m.)
- Self-guided Tour of Boomtown- Students will have access to explore the exhibit on own.
- Pioneer Dress Demos- On the half hour, students will explore the purposes of the typical pioneer ways of dress.
- Morse Code- Students will learn about how people communicated with Morse code while making a Morse Code bracelet.
- Birthplace of Las Vegas- Students will learn about why Las Vegas became a town while creating a map.
- Then and Now Prices- Students will compare the difference in pricing of items in the Mercantile.
- Artifact Hunt- Students will find various artifacts throughout Boomtown and learn about their uses.
